1 Day Strength & Conditioning Clinic

NSCA-Ireland would like to invite you to attend our 1 day Strength & Conditioning Clinic focusing on “Youth Athletic Development”.
This clinic will cover some of the vital aspects on this issue including:
- Learning how to effectively train young athletes for a lifetime of Health, Fitness and Sport for Youth
- Describe FUNdamental fitness and the ‘trainability’ of Youth
- Understand the Facts & Myths with Youth resistance training
The clinic is aimed at P.E. teachers, Underage Sport Coaches, Fitness Trainers, Sport Scientists and all Allied Health Professionals.
Speakers Include:
Dr. Avery Faigenbaum Ed.D., CSCS, FACSM, FNSCA
He is a leading researcher and practitioner in the field of youth strength and conditioning, and lectures nationally and internationally to sports medicine and fitness organizations. He is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. . Dr. Faigenbaum has published over 150 articles on strength and conditioning and is the author of five books including Youth Fitness and Strength and Power for Young Athletes.
John Taylor MS, CSCS*D, Coach Practitioner
He is the Head Performance Training Coach at New Mexico State University since 1992. His professional contributions include; Authored articles for the Strength and Conditioning Journal and online Performance Journal, Co- Authored a chapter in the 3rd Edition of the Essentials of Strength Training and Conditioning text, International/national/local conference presenter. He has be voted NSCA strength & conditioning professional of the year. John holds a BS in Physical Education and an MS in Athletic Administration and Sports Management from the University of Wyoming.
