AIB Better Ireland Awards
The Awards are open to a diverse range of projects, from culture, tourism, and community development to communications, social and youth based projects. Entrants are assessed in three categories on the basis of size of group and impact of the project on the community. Awards start at £1,000.

Iomairt Cholmcille/Columba Initiative
The Columba Initiative is a tripartite project between NI, the Republic and Scotland, which aims to promote links between Gaelic-speaking communities in Ireland and Scotland. In Northern Ireland, the project is run by the Ultach Trust. Irish or Scottish Gaelic must be the medium or focus of each project. Projects must be at least bipartite, linking Scotland with either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland. Priorities will be given to projects linking all three regions. There is no upper limit on how much can be applied for. Applications can be made at any time.

Co-operation Ireland
Co-operation Ireland works to encourage cross-border co-operation and understanding. It delivers the Cross Border Business and Cultural Links initiative under the European Union Special Support Programme for Peace and Reconciliation.
Applications in relation to arts projects must endeavour to be cross-community in nature and all projects must have a clearly defined and quantifiable socio/economic/environmental impact on both sides of the border. Grants range from £500 - £250,000. Applications can be made at any time.
Co-operation Ireland also administers the Youth, Education and Community Programme which provides small grants averaging £500 to groups involved in cross-border projects. Applications are assessed on a quarterly basis.

SuperValu "Get Active"
SuperValu, sponsors of the Buntús Programme, have just launched their SuperValu Kids in Action programme, which is designed to get primary school children involved in sport and active play. This programme offers an opportunity to resource sports equipment for use by primary schools in Limerick, which can compliment the Buntús equipment and other sports equipment held by the school. The programme also offers a nutrition education programme to help develop good eating habits.
Schools can access this equipment through an in-store collector scheme running from January 16th to March 26th in all SuperValu stores in Waterford City & County.
