The Scheme provides financial assistance for the development of community, recreational, sporting, environmental and cultural facilities in the County. It is intended to assist community based clubs and voluntary organisations.

Facilities eligible for funding include: Specific facilities required by an organisation addressing the needs of disadvantaged groups; Works to Community Halls and meeting rooms; Youth Facilities; Sports facilities; Parks/Amenity areas and Arts Projects.

Two forms of assistance will be available as follows:

• Capital Grant of up to 90% of the total eligible cost of a project up to a maximum of €100,000.
• Technical Assistance of up to 90% of the cost of preparing a development plan / feasibility study up to a maximum of €7,000.
