Following contributions from the Irish Sports Council, Limerick City and County LSP’s, JP McManus, Limerick County Council and Limerick City Council this post has been secured until June 2011.  The new SIDO for Limerick County and City, Mr. Liam McDonough has vast experience in the area as Liam was previously the SIDO with Kerry Sports Partnership.

This programme helps to support the City and County Councils important public policy objective of getting Limerick people to be more physically active throughout their lives as a contribution to improved health, social well-being and economic success. The programme has demonstrably increased participation in sport and physical activity among people with disabilities based on the provision of opportunities, reduction of barriers and the development of partnerships.

Liam will be based in the City Sports Partnership however his work plan will incoporate both Limerick City and County. Liam’s contact details are as follows:
